Book Club: Audrey – A Life in Pictures

It's book club time again!

Being a nerd all my life, I love to read. I want to incorporate that into this blog by writing a book review once a month on the book that I have been reading or one I recommend to you all.

This month’s book isn’t a great piece of literature. Rather, it’s a coffee table book full of pictures of my favorite style icon, Audrey Hepburn. Hence, the title, Audrey – A Life in Pictures by Carol Krenz.

The book has a few tidbits about Audrey and pictures of her before she became famous. I don’t know where the author got all the pictures but this collection of Audrey Hepburn photos are amazing – especially the photos of her broadway and ballet career. I also found some of the facts about her movie Breakfast at Tiffany’s quite interesting. For example, the very first scene in the movie where Holly Golightly stands in front of Tiffany’s eating a danish was apparently quite difficult for Audrey as she hated danishes. Haha I know it sounds kind of insignificant but Breakfast at Tiffany’s is my favorite movie of all time and Audrey Hepburn was absolutely fabulous in it :]

I recommend this book to anyone who is a diehard Audrey fan like I am. It was only about $7 at Barnes and Noble the last I checked. For that price the great pictures of one of the greatest fashion icons who ever lived is totally worth it.
