Stripes are a must-have in any girl's closet. They're super versatile and have the ability to take a simple outfit and turn it chic. Here are some of my favorite ways to wear stripes.

Outfit 1: Accessorized
I think that adding a striped handbag to a casual outfit is an instant pick-me-up. I LOVE this Kate Spade handbag - the bright stripes create the perfect pop of color to a black and white color palette. I would wear an outfit like this to run errands on a lazy Saturday afternoon.

Outfit 2: Print Mixer
I'm sure you guys can remember from my last How to Wear post that I like the idea of mixing prints. Stripes and polka dots go along like peanut butter and jelly - as long as it's done correctly. You don't want two prints to compete with each other. The stripes are thinner than the polka dots so they work harmoniously together. Keeping the rest of your outfit simple is the key so that clothes themselves take center stage. This would be a great outfit for brunch.

Outfit 3: Head to Toe
As always I have to put on a fashion dare - vertical stripes! I think that wearing a softer, less prominent horizontal-stripe shirt balances the outfit out, especially when paired with neutral colored accents like this JCrew bag and wedge sneakers that will make your legs look miles long, you have yourself one bold outfit! This would be a great outfit for hanging out with friends.

Would you wear any of these outfits?
