Closet Strategy: Bandage Skirt

This week on my Closet Strategy series, I would like to explore the bandage skirt. I remember this trend first coming out and I wasn't sure if these skirts would quickly retire or not. I think it's safe to say now that this skirt is here to stay.

Forever 21 bandage skirt

While many seem to wear this skirt for nights out, I would like to show you guys that you can wear this for more than one occasion. Allow me to demonstrate.

Outfit 1: Errand Runner

This is a casual outfit I would wear while running errands on a saturday afternoon. I like juxtaposing elements. Since the bandage skirt is form-fitting, I think it's a good idea to wear a looser top. The sneakers keep the look effortlessly casual and gives the outfit subtle color.

Top: Urban Outfitters leaf top
Accessories: H&M leaf necklace, Icing wayfarers, Swatch watch, Forever 21 cross body bag
Shoes: Converse Lo-Tops

Outfit 2: Office Bombshell

I spend a lot of time at work, like most people, so creating outfits I can wear to the office is important to me. I think a lot of people wouldn't think to wear a skirt like this to the office, but as you can see, it can work quite well. As long as you keep the rest of your outfit conservative, the skirt can be perfectly work-appropriate. Add a bright scarf for a pop of color and you're ready to head out the door!

Top: H&M white blouse
Accessories: Silk scarf from small boutique in Italy, Vintage Chanel tote, old glasses
Shoes: Gojane.com satin pumps

Outfit 3: Coffee Date

Coffee dates, for me anyways, is a chance to test out my intellectual compatibility with someone. So look the part with a warm sweater and a blouse. While the sweater is conservative, the polka-dot blouse underneath is fun and flirty.

Top: Forever 21 sheer polka-dot blouse, H&M burgundy sweater
Accessories: Juicy Couture clutch, vintage pearl earrings
Shoes: Payless black heels

How often do you wear bandage skirts?
