Closet Strategy: Printed Pencil Skirt

As someone who spends most of her time at work, it's important for me to be dressed appropriately for the office. However, I admit that professional clothes can be boring and stiff. That's why I love office-appropriate clothing with a twist like printed pencil skirts! I've been quite fond of this green floral print skirt and have worn this quite a bit to the office. However, pencil skirts like this aren't just for work anymore - here are some of the ways I wear my printed pencil skirt:
Forever 21 Sketch Foral skirt

Outfit 1: For Work

Like I said, the silhouette of the pencil skirt is work-appropriate. What makes this look stand out is the print and color. I made sure to keep the rest of my look muted so nothing would compete with the skirt. A Prada bag and pearl earrings are always classic and perfect for work.

Top: H&M blouse, H&M cardigan
Accessories: Vintage pearls, Prada bag
Shoes: GoJane satin pumps

Outfit 2: For Play

I love this combination of peplum and printed skirt - its such a cute contrast that goes well together. I've worn this outfit to happy hour recently where I received quite a few compliments. Make sure to keep the color palette muted to make sure the skirt pops.

Top: Forever 21 top
Accessories: Charming Charlie necklace, Juicy Couture clutch
Shoes: Michael Antonio pumps

Outfit 3: For Things In Between

I love juxtaposing elements. Since the skirt is fitted, I wanted to wear something looser on top, like this polka-dot sweater. I like mixing prints and I think a way to do that is with a neutral color, like grey and black. This is a great outfit for running errands or catching up with friends.

Top: Forever 21 sweater
Accessories: Icing wayfarer sunnies, Bershka bowling bag
Shoes: Glaze by Adi sandals

Would you wear any of these outfits? Do you like printed pencil skirts? Let me know!
