Coffee Porn

As I'm sure most of you guys can tell from the name of my blog, I love coffee. Like, obsessed. If coffee was a person, I'd be its number one fan. If it was a verb, I'd do it all the time. If it was an adjective, I'd try to be more like it. As such, it is a noun and therefore can be admired all over the world. Here are some of the best tasting coffees that I've had:

Best DC Coffee:

  • Politics and Prose: This is technically a bookstore but they have a cafĂ© called the Modern Times Coffeehouse and they serve the best coffee ever! It also helps that the place is family-owned and operated so you know your patronage is welcome and you are contributing to a business owner and not a corporation.
  • Filter: With locations in Foggy Bottom and Dupont Circle, Filter is a fast-growing chain and with a reason - their coffee is simply amazing! I love that they buy their roasted coffee beans locally (Annapolis, MD) and take great pains into their brewing process.
  • Tryst: Tryst is a bar, lounge, and coffeeshop all in one - you don't see many places like that in the states, now do you? Located in Adams Morgan, Tryst is an excellent place to just grab some coffee in between all the bar-hopping that one would inevitably do in AdMo. It's a good pick-me-up in one of the most fun places in DC.
Tell me about some of your favorite coffeehouses!
