Closet Strategy: Leopard Flats

Hey guys! It's been a while since my last Closet Strategy post, hasn't it?

Forever 21 Leopard Print Flats

I know I mentioned this before in an older post but I believe leopard print is a neutral. Think about it: The colors in classic leopard prints are tan, black, and sometimes white. Those colors are universally flattering and also prove that you can wear black and brown together. That said, I think that a pop of leopard spots here and there can really perk up a look. I know some of you guys are reluctant to wear this print, because it is quite bold. If you are in this predicament, might I suggest leopard print shoes? Allow me to show you multiple ways to wear leopard print shoes:

Outfit 1: Leopard Flats + Loose Top

Let's start with the basics - white shirt and skinny jeans. Of course you can't get more basic than that. The thing that makes this outfit stand out are the accessories. I always say, if you're on a budget, pick up accessories! Trust me they can totally make an outfit. The brown and black hues in this look are consistent with the leopard flats. I would probably wear this outfit to coffee.

Top: Forever 21 blouse
Bottoms: Forever 21 jeans
Accessories: Mulberry bag, Forever 21 earrings

Outfit 2: Leopard Flats + LRD

I think that red and leopard go together like peanut butter and jelly. The combination is so chic and classic! That's why I think this bright red dress works so well with these flats. I think this look is so unapologetically cute. I've worn this exact outfit on a shopping date with my friends.

Dress: H&M dress
Accessories: H&M belt, red and silver bangles from boutique in France, vintage pearl earrings, H&M clutch

Outfit 3: Leopard Flats + Boyfriend Jeans

I think a lot of times people associate leopard print with luxury and formality. But as you can see, you can dress these shoes down by wearing them with a pair of loose jeans! I think it's important to cuff these jeans a little bit to make sure that the shoes stand out. Pair them with a nice sweater and a structured tote and you are ready for a day of running errands.

Top: H&M sweater
Bottoms: American Eagle Outfitters jeans
Accessories: Prada bag, Stradivarius belt

Have I convinced you to give leopard print a chance? Would you wear any of these outfits? Let me know!
