Pop of Florals | Floral Skirt and Shades of Coral

It's finally Friday, loves! Are you excited for the weekend?

I'm gonna be honest with you guys, I've kind of been avoiding blogs that are covering NYFW just because it gets to be way too much. The shows I want to see, I go check them out online but seeing them covered by all the big blogs... well everything starts to repeat because they all end up going to the same shows.

I'm all for supporting fashion week at smaller venues though. I know that NOLA Fashion Week is coming up at the end of this month and DC Fashion Week is in two weeks. I think everyone should support local businesses and Fashion Weeks in smaller cities tend to reserve venues in smaller places - perfect opportunity to go crazy over local fashions and support small businesses too!

Anyways, enough lecturing! Hope you had a great week and enjoy your weekend!

Top: H&M tank top, H&M cardigan
Bottoms: Francesca's skirt
Accessories: Loulou's bracelets, Forever 21 bracelet, Forever 21 clutch
Shoes: Chinese Laundry sandals

  10. I gotta keep my eye out for those smaller fashion weeks! You're right, we should support our small businesses :) Love your skirt-- the colors are so pretty!

  12. Dearest Deborah, to be honest I must agree, I also don´t like the similar reports about the NYFW on the famous blogs. I think your suggestion to visit and report about the smaller and regional FW is the right approach! But it looks like you don´t need a FW because you look so cute in your colourful outfit with the floral skirt and the bright coral cardigan <3

Regarding the weekends: I like them especially because I can sleep longer than on work days :)

Wish you a wonderful and happy rest of the weekend!

  22. I love how your floral skirt is the focal point of your entire outfit. It pops beautifully, and those sandals are gorgeous! You look pretty hun!

I like seeing big designers come out with new fashions during NYFW but I completely agree that we should place emphasis on local businesses. We need to help them grow!!

    Cheers!

  30. That cardigan looks great with that skirt.

I get what you're saying, but I also get that some bloggers just want to share styles and shows that impressed them with their readers :) (i'm not one of them, so I'm not buyest :p)

  38. Not only are bloggers attending the same shows, but they are all wearing the same clothes. Which I don't understand, considering that FW is supposed to be a time to be an individual? /end rant. On a lighter note, I love your floral skirt and your weekend look.

  39. Haha, yeah I agree. NYFW is a bit overwhelming! I can't even imagine being in the midst of it. Love the brightness of this outfit. It's perfect for summer. I love floral print and your skirt is perfect! Love the studded detailing on the clutch and your sandals! They are so versatile and stylish! : )
