The Morning Shift | Color Block Dress and Satin Pumps

Another day, another dollar.

Now that we're in November, I have to start winter-fying my outfits. I wore this shift dress a lot this fall and even in the summer (three words: air conditioned offices. Make for cold employees :/ ) but now I'm wearing it with a button up underneath and some tights to fight the cold air. I really like the idea of bringing in warm weather staples into the winter. I feel like I get more mileage out of my closet that way.

Have a good week!

Dress: Forever 21
Top: H&M shirt (layered under dress)
Accessories: Target tights, vintage Chanel bag
Shoes: GoJane pumps

  10. Dearest Deborah, I love the combination of blue and black in general and you did a great match! This skirt is so cute with the zip on the side and like you I love it to wear a shirt under a sweater :) Fortunately here in Bavaria ACs are not as spread out as in USA, but it looks like as they are on the rise ...

And such a wonderful vintage chanel bag <3

  19. That's a very lovely outfit, I agree winterizing your wardrobe does give you more to do with your summer clothing instead of just hiding it away and bringing out the winter clothing :)

  28. so elegant, love the colour block dress, and of course the bag. i'm a huge fan of chanel.
thanks for your lovely comment! yeah i also think that the dress or the outfit could also be worn regularly, but i don't know if i would be courageous enough to wear the white stockings regularly XD and the shoes are very very high, i cannot walk long distances in them XD

    have a sunny day <3

  33. This is really a great idea! I mean, I'm not very good at picking clothes to layer. I'd seen the white collared shirt under a sweater but never thought to put it under a dress. I have the perfect outfit idea now!
