Vest Person | Ruffled Vest and Snakeskin Accessories

Remarkable Monday, pretties!

I actually got this vest from a friend who no longer wanted it. To be honest, the frills and ruffles were a bit much, even for me. I cut off some of the ruffles on the bottom (it used to be much longer), and belted it so I  could reclaim my waistline. See, nothing a little styling can't fix :]

Tell me about some of your styling challenges - maybe I can do a closet strategy post for them in the future :]

Top: Forever 21 blouse, H&M vest
Bottoms: Forever 21 jeans
Accessories: Nine West clutch, LouLous Hat, belt is made from the strap of the clutch
Shoes: Steve Madden getta pumps

  4. Great idea on the ruffled vest! I like the addition of a belt, makes the vest grown-up!

  5. My styling problem is similar--I can't wear anything baggy or else I look 400 lbs so belts are definitely my best friend!

  9. Gorgeous and expert styling! Love the snakeskin accessories and the way you belted the voluminous vest! My closet challenge is styling bold tights (like in my newest post). Think an unexpected color or print!

  20. check you out being all clever with scissors! I once wanted to cut a bandage dress into a crop top buuuut it had a zipper going down in front of it and for whatever reason I cut straight through it. Absolutely ruining it, hahah.

  23. Hi dear Deborah, it looks like as if you are really skilled in DIY because I like the result of your improvements - and also the look in general. Surely not only because I love pink and blue and snakeprint :) You look fresh and cool in your outfit!

Sometimes I try to change some garment, too, but I have to admit that nowadays I´m really hesitant with this because sometimes it already happened that I destroyed my clothes ...

Btw I finished this weekend Never Let Me Go from Kazuo Ishiguro, thanks a lot for your tip, the book was indeed great and I couldn´t stop reading :)

  24. I don't think your light pink vest could get any more perfect- it such a lovely feminine garment and I think it looks very beautiful on you, especially because of how nice you styled it! :) And I think I am totally in love with your polka dot jeans, I have been wanting to get a pair like that for such a long time, but I still haven't found the perfect pair in my hometown!
