Ladylike | Midi Skirt and Blazer

Wondrous Wednesday readers!

When I was a little girl, my parents would constantly tell me to stop roughhousing and be more ladylike (I was quite the tomboy, you see). Part of the reason for this was that I was very impatient and always wanted to get places quickly so instead of carefully taking my time getting there, I would run as quickly as I could while tripping over everything in the process.
Which leads me to my outfit and the out-of-place bandage on my leg. I was on my way to a New Years Eve party when I stopped by a wine store. I was afraid I'd be late to the party so as soon as I saw the shop I hurriedly made a beeline towards it... only to trip over a crack on the sidewalk and scrape my knee in the process. I was wearing tights but miraculously, they didn't rip! So please forgive the bandage on the otherwise "ladylike" outfit!

Are any of you guys as clumsy as I am?

Top: H&M blazer (similar here), J Crew tank (similar here)
Bottoms: Choies skirt (same from Romewe)
Accessories: Tory Burch bag
Shoes: Sole Society

  1. Hooray for non-ripping tights!! What a miracle, hahah! I love how that recent NYE Story plays into your "be more ladylike" lessons from your parents. Love the skirt and the whole outfit. Even with the bandage I'd pass you for a proper lady ;D

  2. Love this outfit! Midi skirts always reminds me of the 60's (or something like that, I'm terrible at remembering dates) when women used to wear them with cute heels!

p.s. Love the bandage btw, but hooray for non rip tights!

  9. Aww hope your leg heals up! You need to share what tights didn't rip, I'm always clumsily ripping a hole in my tights! I think it's gotten worse since I've become a mum too, I'm always dropping things or tripping over something (usually something I've earlier dropped and forgotten about ha!).

Shared clumsiness aside, this is a really pretty outfit! Love the combination of the skirt, top and blazer together. That top is such a pretty piece :)
