Just the Basics | Leopard Pumps and Chambray Shirt

Nothing fancy today, just a simple chambray shirt with leggings combination, made *slightly* less boring with the addition of leopard pumps and an oversized cardigan

Wanted to write a quick post on something I wear on my days off. Sometimes I see bloggers who wear such fantastic outfits that are very beautiful but... not really wearable for every day. Not that I don't think aspirational blogs aren't great but I also think there's nothing wrong with wearing leggings and a top (that's long enough to cover the not so flattering bits) and showcasing it on a blog if that's honestly what you wear. I often run into the issue of wearing an outfit or even buying pieces that I wouldn't really wear outside of my blog. Frankly, I don't get invited to enough parties and fabulous events to wear things like that every single day, unlike some of the other lucky bloggers out there. Most of my days are spent working in an office and when I come home, I just want to get into my pajamas and watch a ton of shows or movies on Netflix and not think about anything serious. In the spirit of being more budget conscious (especially this month), I'm going to try much harder to have more wearable outfits displayed here.

What are your thoughts on inspirational vs. aspirational blogging?

Top: Forever 21 shirt, Forever 21 cardigan (similar)
Bottom: Zara leggings
Accessories: Tory Burch bag, New York and Co. necklace
Shoes: Sole Society

  1. I'm the same, I see stuff that would be great to blog about but aren't really going to be wearable in everyday life. I like this outfit though, the pumps make it look really put together I think :)

  4. I still love those heels so much- they're the perfect leopard shoe! I've been a huge fan of chambray with leggings and a cozy sweater too- so perfect for winter!
