What's in My Tory Burch Tote?

This has got to be by far my favorite types of posts to read, to write, to put together, etc. It's been a while since I did one of these and since I've been wearing my new Tory Burch Robinson mini double zip tote to death, I thought it would be a fun idea to put together this post on the things I keep inside:

  1. iPhone and case: My phone is an absolute essential mainly for work-related purposes. I hate being that girl who can't live without her phone but when you work in an ever-changing field, you need to reachable at all times. I have an iPhone 5s and my case is from Kate Spade but I'm due for a change. I like these self-charging ones (also from Kate Spade). How convenient is that?
  2. Apple charger: I bought this backup charger at Lilly Pulitzer and it's been a life saver! I like to work on the go sometimes and this has been great at charging both my phone and my iPad. I've heard from some people that the charging metal part breaks off easily but I've had it for a few months and I haven't had any issues like that.
  3. Moleskine notebook/planner: I am obsessed with all things Moleskine! I picked up this cute Le Petit Prince planner for 2015 and I've been using it for everything! I recently got this black (non-hardcover) gridded notebook  to write in-depth to-do lists and notes and it's been amazing. I'm planning a post on offline organizing starring these notebooks. Would that be something you guys would like to read?
  4. iPad mini with smartcover: I usually put this in the back zip-pocket of my bag and it fits perfectly! I've been using this for some minor blogging and for work. Sometimes I'll have a movie or TV show playing on it while I work from my computer. It's dreadfully useful.
  5. Aveeno hand cream: My hands get so dry, especially in the winter so I make sure to keep a bottle of hand lotion with me at all times. This one is incredibly moisturizing and a little goes a long way.
  6. Pen with rubber tip: I really like this pen because the rubber tip at the end makes a great stylus for my iPad.
  7. Minimergency kit: I've raved about this in previous posts but having a small kit of things for "emergencies" is terribly handy! In this little pouch, you get a bandaid, dental floss, hairspray, clear nail polish, aspirin, bobby pins, etc. And how pretty is the pouch??
  8. Kate Spade wallet: This was a relatively new purchase. I was drawn to the neutral navy color and the cute metal bow but I really like the look of this wallet and the super soft leather.
  9. Metro card and keys: I attached my keys to this adorable panda USB drive/chain.
  10. Business card holder: My dad got this as a gift for me when he was visiting Korea. I really like the sleek design and it fits a surprisingly large amount of business cards.
Next up is my makeup pouch:

Thanks for reading and feel free to share some of the things you always have to have in your purse!

  1. I love anything Kate Spade and your accessories from that brand didn't fail to please me either ;)

  2. Dear Deborah, you have a beautiful bag and honestly I'm not surprised that the contet of your bag and your makeup pouch is so well organized and well-thought-out! I know already that these belongs to your strenghts :) I'm emptying my bag each evening and pack it new in the morning as I change my bags ... but this is kind of an effort ;) Happy weekend for you!

  3. I love reading posts like this cause I guess I'm that nosy ;) The kate spade charging case sounds like a dream-- functional and cute. Also the little pouch for makeup is perfect. I always throw my lipstick into the pockets of my purse and they end up getting lost at the bottom. I should follow in your steps and get myself a little pouch too

  4. First of, I really love your tote! And all your make up looks great! Love it :)

  5. Your makeup pouch is so cute! I'm on the hunt for one that's the perfect size for my bag. Hope you are staying warm!

  6. I think these are my one of my favorite types of posts to read! Glad you shared an update of what's going on in your carry-or-die bag.. Haha! Love a good rose bud salve, and I think it's smart that you carry around a notebook with you. I used to, but never opened it (forgetting I had it with me) and it was just an ongoing cycle of unused-paper-notebook-ness. Ha! I'll have to start carrying it around again, and maybe even this time USE it?!

    Much Love,

  7. your bag looks so organized! i have so much random stuff in mines lol

  8. I agree with you, I love reading and seeing 'whats in my bag' posts! So interesting what everyone carries with them through the day :) You manage to fit quite a bit in your bag! :)

Would definitely like to see a post on how you stay organised with your notebooks! I'm going to have to start carrying a notebook around with me again when I head back to work, to make sure I'm not forgetting anything, I'm sure I'll have a to-do list a mile long!

  13. I think it's so so cute that you match your phone case and your makeup bag!! Also SUCH a good idea using a pencil pouch for makeup, I actually am going to start doing that too. My makeup gets so lost in my purse! And I have the same iPad cover and I also use it to watch tv while working haha oops.

  14. Hi! I stumbled across your blog through Beyond Blush and I've really enjoyed reading your posts. I joined through GFC and can't wait to read your future posts!

  15. One of the reasons that fabric tote bags work so well for everyone is that they are available in plain or printed with any kind of design you desire. Plain bags have become a favorite among crafty people who love to decorate their own bags. Some people even decorate tote bags and then sell them at craft shows and small shops.
