I know I usually post OOTDs on Wednesday but the weather has been so rainy and dreary and I didn't want to venture out where the camera would get wet, and I couldn't find anywhere with good indoor lighting so here's my last minute post of some of the products I've used up this month instead! I actually enjoyed writing this and I was planning on having this out last weekend but Thanksgiving plans got in the way so I figured now would be as good a time as any to post this up.
Smashbox Camera Ready BB Cream in "Light/Neutral": I bought this last winter after one of the clerks at Sephora referred it to me. That's right, you heard me - this tiny tube lasted me an entire year! A little of it goes a long way and it offers light to medium coverage. I have heard it doing wonders for those with acne-prone skin, but (luckily for me), my skin isn't terribly acne-prone but it does get dry as the Sahara Desert with rough patches in the winter. Personally, I loved the coverage it gave me and in the summer time, when my skin was less dry, I liked the light coverage because it didn't feel too heavy on my skin. It has a not-quite-matte-but-not-shiny finish (kind of like real skin) which is what I usually go for in the summer. That said, it made the rough patches on my skin obvious in the winter time and that wasn't too great for me. I think I'll repurchase this in the spring and use it only during the warm-weather months.
Aveeno Positively Radiant Daily Moisturizer: I have used this moisturizer for about three years now and it's the only thing that won't make my skin break out. An absolute repurchase.
L'Oreal Miss Manga Mascara: I had high hopes for this mascara and it wasn't all that it was cracked up to be... at least on my lashes. My lashes are short, sparse, stick straight down and have a difficult time holding a curl. The formula for this mascara is just too wet and it weighs down my lashes. The wand makes my lashes look a bit clumpy and spidery at the same time (weird). I tried to let it sit for about two weeks and let the formula dry up a bit but it was unfortunately still too heavy. Will not be repurchasing.
Bliss Grapefruit + Aloe Body Butter Maximum Moisture Cream: Like I mentioned earlier, my skin gets so dry and it gets just so much worse in the winter so a good moisturizer is a must for me. This body butter did do the trick but I don't know if it was that much better than other moisturizers that I got at a lower price point. I actually buy a different moisturizer by Dove and I'm going to compare the two before I decide if I'd repurchase this at some other point.
TonyMoly Magic Food Banana Sleeping Pack: I bought this during my trip to Korea because I needed a night cream that would provide ample moisture. At the time I had an incredibly stubborn and painful rough patch on my face near my ear that seemed to just keep spreading toward the center of my face so I was looking for something that would bring the big guns, moisture-wise. That rough patch disappeared in two weeks! I had been dealing with it for a year and it was gone after two weeks of using this sleep mask! Needless to say, I jumped on Amazon and ordered another one! I'm going to do a full review of this product soon so I won't get too into the details of this product but I love this to pieces! Also, the packaging is ridiculously adorable!
