I love bright lips for summer, dark lips for autumn and winter, and red lips for special occasions. That said, most days, I reach for one of my ever-growing collection of "MLBB" or "My Lips but Better" lipsticks. Now what, pray tell, are "My Lips but Better" lipsticks, you may ask? They're lip colors in shades that are similar to your original lip color but, better. I think most of you know what I mean. They're great for an every-day look or even a "no makeup" makeup look.
- Dior Addict Lip Glow: I did a review on this before and it's still one of my favorites! It's lasted a long time, surprisingly and it gives my lips a very natural tint. It's not exactly lipstick and unfortunately, I am not too fond of the staying power, but it looks beautiful on.
- Maybelline Color Whisper in "Rose of Attraction": I think these are discontinued, unfortunately, but in its heyday, I loved this shade! These lipsticks gave a very subtle yet buildable pigment to your lips and I loved this particular shade because it was close to my natural lip color while being moisturizing.
- Revlon Lip Butter in "Berry Smothie": Even though the name of this shade has "berry" in it, it's not as dark or vampy as you'd think. It looks a bit like an actual berry smoothie which is slightly darker on my lips but it's a perfect autumn "my lips but better" shade.
- Tarte Lipsurgence Lip Luster in "Sweet": I originally got this in a sample kit but as soon as this runs out, I'm hitting up Sephora for the full version! I love the natural pink tint but the gold shimmery flecks really elevate the lip color, in my opinion.
