Glitz and Glamour | Heeled Booties and Sequin Skirt

Top: Forever 21 || Bottoms: Francesca's Collection skirt (similar here) || Accessories: H&M bag, Forever 21 bangle (similar here) || Shoes: Sole Society Daphne

Here's a nice New Years Eve look if you're going to a casual party! I love how toned down this sequined skirt is because it makes it more versatile to wear. For now, I'm pairing it with this plain black shirt (a definite wardrobe basic), and my new heeled booties!
Quick mini review of these shoes: They're the Daphne booties by Sole Society and this is my fifth pair of shoes I've ordered from them (I'm amassing a small collection!) I usually wear a size 6 in shoes but as they didn't have them at the time I ordered, I went with a 5.5 instead. In my experience, stretching shoes out is easier than shrinking them. I haven't really needed to do that though, and while the fit is a bit snug, my feet aren't hurting in these. They were originally originally $99.95 but I got them on sale for $59.97 which was quite a steal! While the ones I bought are leather, they have suede versions that come in burgundy and light grey as well.

oh and a tip : if you ever need to stretch the booties: stuff them with moist newspaper overnight ;)

  7. This is indeed a really pretty outfit for NYE! It looks festive but not over-the-top. These boots are gorgeous, and they were a bargain! You can wear them to dress up outfits or even for work, that's cool :)
