I can't believe I'm typing these words out but today is the 4th anniversary of my blog! I celebrated by doing...nothing! Haha I thought this was a great opportunity to just let myself relax! I've been doing this for four years and if there's ever a time to just take a step back and have some fun with blogging, it's now.
When I started this blog, I told myself that this is just a hobby and I wouldn't let it consume my life. For the most part, I really haven't. Sometimes I definitely get jealous of other bloggers who produce better-looking photos, have better looking blog designs, or can afford more expensive clothes. I can get pretty competitive and I would be lying if I said I never had days where I would stress out about my blog content.
But then I remember a quote by Ernest Hemingway: "There's nothing noble in being superior to your fellow man; true nobility is being superior to your former self." I remember my very first blog post where I stood in my backyard taking photos of myself on a small digital camera and thinking this was fun! I have seen how this blog has grown, not just in content and photo quality, but in my network of people I've met here. Four years is a long time to get to know all of the other fabulous bloggers I've been lucky to encounter. I'm proud of the progress I've made and I really can't even begin to explain my excitement when I think about the future of this blog. Thank you so much for following.
In sartorial news, this was my weekend uniform -nothing fancy but I thought I would add this cute striped scarf for a bit of February flair. It's casual and cute, but most of all practical.
