King Charles III | Frill Sleeve Lace and Nude Studded Heels

Dress: ASOS Paper Dolls dress || Coat: Zara (similar here) || Accessories: Kate Spade Cove Street Provence, Kate Spade necklace (similar here) || Shoes: Sole Society Tiia in 'Adobe'

Because I’m a total outfit repeater (no shame), I wore this dress to my date night with Brian last week. If you follow me on Instagram or Snapchat, you probably recognize this dress from our anniversary date night. Well who says I can't wear it to a play too? We went to see a play at the Shakespeare Theatre called King Charles III which was about the potential rule of the current Prince Charles of England. It was such a fascinating play and as political nerds, Brian and I really enjoyed it. My only critique of it is that I could have done without Prince Harry's side plot. I personally thought it was contrived and they made Harry sound like a total idiot. I'm not the biggest fan of Prince Harry but even I know he's not as dumb as they made him look in the play. That said, I highly recommend it and if you ever get a chance to see it at a theater nearby, you definitely should!
On another note, I really love this dress! I've been a bit slow to jump on the statement sleeves trend but this dress was a great intro to it. The bells of the sleeves aren't too extreme, which I liked, and the whole dress is lace which I will never get enough of. This is such a great dress for a lot of formal events. The blue one I'm wearing is sold out but they have a red version that's on sale at ASOS now!

Thanks for reading!

  2. Of course it's totally fine to repeat outfits, especially with such a pretty dress! That vibrant blue colour is amazing, plus lace is the best thing in the world :D
That play sounds really interesting, although I can't imagine what things will be like when Prince Charles actually becomes Charles III - may the Queen still live long, healthy years!
