Mother's Day Gift Ideas

It's almost Mother's Day and I couldn't be more excited about that!
My mom and I are incredibly close so I'm always happy for an opportunity to spend more time with her and show her how much I appreciate her. I'm planning on spending the weekend with my family and cooking brunch for her and my dad on Sunday. Beyond that, I'm not sure what gift I should get her. I know that it's kind of last minute and I'm starting to panic a bit (I do this every year) but I've narrowed it down to a couple of items she would like - and maybe your mom would like them too (if you're looking for Mother's Day gifts still).

  • Spa Day Kit: I thought of making a DIY Spa Day kit for my mom - complete with bath bombs, facial cleansers, and all of her favorite products. I know they sell such kits online but my mom has really sensitive skin and can be a bit picky so I thought it would be better (and mean more) if I handpicked all of the products myself.
  • Edible Arrangement: My mom loves these. No lie, she flips out when she gets them (which clearly isn't often enough). It's kind of hilarious but hey, the woman knows what she wants.
  • Manicure/pedicure set: Like spa kits, my mom is selective when it comes to nail polish. She doesn't really like any colors that are bold our loud - neutral colors only. I'm thinking of getting her a DIY french manicure set that she's sure to love.
  • Fresh flowers: And of course, when all else fails, I can get her flowers and know she'll love them. I am thinking of ordering some from Urban Stems and have them deliver it to her before I arrive at their house  (so they don't wilt while I bring them to her).
What are you planning on getting your mom for Mother's Day?

  1. Aww that's cute that she loves edible arrangements! Whenever I see the shop in my town I wonder "do people actually buy these?" Not because they're awful or anything, but because I assume that they're a lot of $ for not that much food. That's sweet that she gets excited whenever she recieves one!

  2. The spa day kit is such a thoughtful idea! It's a good way to remind your mum to take time for herself and that she deserves to be pampered once in a while :D I'm also looking for ideas since Mother's Day in France is in two weeks' time, I'm actually going to the shops this afternoon to find something. I already know I'll get her chocolate, because who doesn't like that? :D

  3. My mom doesn't like gifts, so I think the fresh flowers would be a great idea! These are all cute ideas though :)

Thank you for your comments! I read every single one :]
