June 2017 Bucket List

May was an incredibly busy month but June is promising to be a bit easier. Last month, I managed to:
  • Move house
  • Furnish my new apartment (still not complete though)
  • Go to California and meet Brian's brother and sister-in-law
  • Cook a whole Mother's Day brunch for my mom
  • Go to a DC United game

This month, I want to have accomplished the following:
  1. Attend the last play of the season at the Shakespeare Theatre: We're slated to see School for Lies and I can't be more excited. I'm also a bit sad that the season is ending but Brian and I have talked about renewing our season tickets to continue our tradition!
  2. See a Nationals Baseball game: What's summer without a baseball game or two? I want to squeeze some time to go and watch the Nats play!
  3. Read at least three books: I'm including listening to books through the Audible app on this one but I have a few books lined up for this month that I want to have read (including Life of Pi!)
  4. Celebrate Father's Day with my dad: I have a post coming up this month on a few Father's Day gift ideas so stay tuned!
  5. Go to Jazz in the Garden: This is a DC summer tradition - they have free jazz concerts every Friday at the Sculpture Garden. I usually bring a picnic lunch with some sangria while listening to some lovely jazz music. It's a treat for sure!
What are some items on your bucket list this month?

  2. I can't believe it's almost Father's Day - wasn't it just yesterday when we celebrated Mother's Day? I hope you get to tick these things off your bucket list!
