August 2017 Bucket List

How is it August already? From my Hawaiian vacay to all the shows I was able to go and see (Second City, anyone?), July really flew by! I actually managed to cross every single thing off of my my bucket list last month!

In any case, here are some of the things I want to be able to cross off by the end of August - fingers crossed this month goes as well as last month did!
  • Attend my last summer wedding: I'm going to upstate New York at the end of August for a wedding. I've literally never met the bride or groom but I'm told they're a great easy-going couple so I'm quite excited to go. Weddings are always fun!
  • Get my closet Autumn-ready: I did a huge closet purge when I got back from Hawaii but now that I've gotten rid of all my clothes that don't bring me happiness (or even bring me a shallow kind of happiness), I want to keep my closet my happy place. I think I'm going to need to do this before the start of every season to make sure the clothes I have spark joy and will carry me through the next season.
  • Spend a day by the pool: With the end of summer comes the closing of the pool. I want to take full advantage of it while I can. I want to spend an entire day poolside - probably during a weekend.

What's on your bucket list this August?

  1. I need to do a purge, too! I scheduled a donation pick-up for Friday, so I need to GET ON IT this week!

  2. Getting my closet autumn-ready is on my list as well! I started going through my closet last week to find things to donate but it's so hard to part with things haha.

  3. Well done on achieving your goals last month, that's awesome! I hope you are just as successful in August.

I'm impressed at your wardrobe organisation too - I tried reading the Marie Kondo book btu I was too nervous to start with clothes - if she suggested starting with a less emotional area for me I might have been able to do it! I find decluttering my wardrobe the hardest thing to do, which is why my no shop for the past 7 months has been good as I could stop the stuff adding to my wardrobe that way (even if I didn't clear out very much from it!).

Hope you are having a lovely week so far :)

  4. Dear Deborah,
how wonderful that you did everything on your bucket list! And it makes me smile you did also a huge closet clean - as I did the same and I'm so happy about the result!

  5. I've never been to a wedding before which I'm actually really disappointed about because I love the idea of one. But I guess in a few years I'll get to an age where all my friends start to get married and I'll have something like three every summer to go to, can't wait! Hope you enjoy your final one for the summer and hope August is a good month!

    Jenny xx
