The holidays are in full swing and I couldn't be more excited! We got our Christmas tree set up earlier this month and it looks amazing! We finally got a bit of snow this past weekend and our tree against our floor-to-ceiling windows looked lovely with the snow falling in the background.

We got our tree from a local elementary school that was selling trees as a part of their PTA fundraiser. To be honest, I've never really had a Christmas tree growing up (my parents are a bit frugal to say the least) and when Brian heard that he was determined to make sure we had one this year. He's a big fan of real trees, not fake ones, so we trekked to the school to pick up a tree. I liked that the money we were paying for our tree was going to a good cause too! We found a small five-foot tree that we thought looked adorable. Brian has been calling it our "Charlie Brown" tree because it's small and slightly lopsided in a charming way, if that makes sense? Haha. I documented our experience on Instagram stories. If you're not following me there already, please be sure to do so! :]

  1. I'm seriously loving the size of the small transport tote! I have the standard one and it's great for traveling but a little too big for everyday.

  5. Your smile is so radiant!! I wish we had a real christmas tree, but my mom doesn't want the hassle of watering it and cleaning up the fallen pines. Haha! But I miss having a real one. They make the whole room smell so lovely and festive!

  15. Love that jacket and your tree looks so good-- the red and silver ornaments really pop!! One of the things I love about real trees is how none of them are the same.

  17. Your tree is so cute! It's awesome you gto to have a real tree for the first time! We just have a fake tree, and we were so sad recently when my parents had to upgrade the old one they'd had since we were little. It held up well, but they don't last forever! Ours is pretty massive as my mother in law bought it for us after the Christmas in the sales one year, so it takes a while to decorate but I'm happy as it means lots of fun decorations! :)

Hope you are having a great start to the week - less than two weeks until Christmas now! Luckily I finished buying all my presents yesterday. Hope your Christmas preparations are going well!
