Notice anything different? I got a haircut! If you follow me on Instagram, you may have seen when it happened (earlier this month) but I’m only getting to posting my photos of my new ‘do. Longtime readers may remember the last time my hair was this short. I always loved having short hair but it’s hard to find a stylist who can do it right for me. I usually ask for the length to be in the middle of my neck with invisible layers to add volume to my hair. Nothing like a big chop to make you feel like a new person!

madewell x sezane sweater
I saw this sweater on the Madewell website last summer when they had their collaboration with Sezane. I liked the way this basic sweater was elevated with a simple saying on the front. This is definitely a more fitted sweater than most but I kind of like that because it feels more feminine to me. I’m wearing it rather simply here but as the season goes on I’m planning on wearing it with a collared shirt underneath and maybe a blazer over it. It’d make the cutest layered look. I actually bought this on Poshmark for a lower-than-retail price so it was perfect.

One way I LOVE wearing white jeans is during the cooler months with dark colors. I think it adds something bright and unexpected. I got mine from J.Crew years ago (I even wrote a post on what to look for when purchasing white jeans). I love mine but I feel like I don’t get as many wears out of them as I want to so it’s something I’m thinking about changing - expect more white jeans posts in the future! I’ve written about this in that aforementioned post on white jeans but the most important quality of a great pair of white jeans is opacity. I’ve seen people wearing white jeans with bright underwear that I can see through. It’s definitely not the most flattering look. I always make sure to wear nude underwear with my white jeans but when I shopped for my white jeans, I wore bright blue underwear to check the opacity of them when trying them on at the store (just in case). If you’re in the market for white jeans, I recommend doing that so you know how opaque they are. I’m also listing a few of my favorite brands of white jeans.
