Fall Bike Ride | Striped Tee and Leather Backpack

It’s October but the days have still been hot and warm. We decided to take advantage by taking a bike ride around the city and reading books outside. I’m loving DC’s abundance of bike shares lately. My favorite is the JUMP bikes that are electric-assist when you pedal. They were a bit tricky to get the hang of initially for me because the electric-assist makes me feel like there’s little to no resistance when I pedal and each pedal makes me go super fast. Once I did figure it out, it became my favorite bike-share to get. If you haven’t tried them out before, you really should! They’re lots of fun!

It we had an 80 degree day so you may think I’m crazy for wearing something long-sleeved, but this tee is linen and breathable so it’s perfect for a hot dry day. It wasn’t great in the direct sun but it was perfect in the shade where it was cool. Linen has become one of my favorite fabrics to wear. They’re not only breathable, but eco-friendly as well. I like that mine are in a classic stripe, making them perfect year-round.

I went on quite a journey last year to secure these particular shoes. I actually got them directly from the Adidas website and I got them in a kids’ size because I have small feet (I’m a size 6). These shoes are unisex so naturally they go by the mens’ sizes 🙄. That means I would be a size 4… so I just figured I’d get the kids size. They look exactly the same, just smaller and in my case, on sale for cheaper (score!) They’re my absolute favorite sneakers and perfect for a touch of athleisure to your regular looks.
