I started a knitting circle with my girlfriends and we aptly named it the “Stitch and Bitch club.” I mean, we say it’s a knitting circle but really, it’s a crafty hour and an excuse to hang out and drink wine. I hosted the first meetup and it was a blast! I wore this cute tee from Band.o that was met with a lot of gushing! It just felt appropriate to wear it to celebrate all the strong and smart women in my life that I have the privilege to call my friends!

When I first saw this tee, I had to have it. I don’t have a lot of graphic tees or slogan tees but this is the one that I could see myself wearing a lot! The inner feminist in me craved it! I was in good company wearing it too - all of my friends who came to the knitting circle are the coolest women ever - we have lawyers, Hill staffers, and all-around badass ladies. I must say, we make one awesome #girlgang!

The Stitch and Bitch club came about when my friend Andrea and I were talking about the importance of having a hobby outside of work. I told her that I was in a knitting circle in college and a few of my other friends had expressed interest in joining for a crafty hour of some sort. We didn’t just knit (or crochet in my case). We had a watercolor painter, a needlepointer, and a cross-stitcher as well. Also we had wine. That always livens things up!
I am currently trying to crochet a throw. I bought this thick chunky yarn and a 20mm crochet hook. I bought four skeins of yarn but I had to go back and order a few more (I like a big throw!) I can’t wait to show you guys the finished product! Hopefully I’ll be done soon!
