Amazing Lace | Lace Skirt and Chambray Shirt

I'm always surprised by the versatility of my chambray shirt. I used to reserve it for my more casual outfits and occasions but they look great dressed up with, say, a lace skirt. I had been saving this skirt for a warmer Spring day and I'm glad it's finally arriving. Lace skirts and chambray shirts are closet staples, in my humble opinion. In fact, I think everything I'm wearing here are staples - pearl necklace, nude heels, and leopard clutch. This look covers all the basics!

I actually put myself on a two-month shopping ban starting April 1st. Because of this, I've been trying to come up with creative ways to style the clothes I have, though the shopping ban doesn't stop at clothes. I, like a lot of other Millennials, will just buy things from Amazon just to save myself from minor inconveniences. Can't find extra batteries? Click - Amazon Prime it. Can't find my lip balms that I know I have 5 of? I'll just buy more. It's so convenient. A bit too convenient. So convenient that I end up spending so much money on things I don't need or already have. I won't lie, since I started this ban for myself, I have been tempted by the Apple Watch, but a few days after I had that feeling of "needing" an Apple Watch, the feeling subsided. I've gone on my entire life without an Apple Watch, meaning I don't need it now. It's been really interesting getting creative with the things I have at home. I encourage you all to try it and also read Ann Patchett's opinion piece in the New York Times called, "My Year of No Shopping." It really inspired me and I hope it will inspire you too!
