Rooftop Grilling | Gingham Dress and Block Heels

My favorite thing to do when the weather is nice out is go to the rooftop of my apartment and grill food for dinner. I'm so lucky to live somewhere with an awesome rooftop (we have a pool, a life-sized chess board, a community garden, and lots of grills) so it's great to take advantage of when it's hot out. Brian and I made ourselves a few cocktails, made turkey burgers and brought them all up to the roof to grill and enjoy dinner with a fantastic view of Washington, DC.

I wore this cute gingham dress because it was super hot out. The back is ruched and stretchy and best of all, it has pockets! It was the perfect sundress for a rooftop dinner. Plus, gingham is always on-trend this time of year. The bow adds a kind of vintage feel to the look, I think. I know this is definitely not my most elaborate outfit ever but I like the simplicity of it.
