Camelot | Button Front Midi and Lace Crop Top

Brian and I went to see Camelot at the Shakespeare Theater last Friday. It was our last play of the season and I'm so glad they ended the season with Camelot. The musical was based on The Once and Future King, obviously, and features the stories of Arthurian legend. I was reading the program and the director wrote that when he was first broached on the subject of Camelot, it was before the 2016 election and he thought the story was too idealistic. Now that we live in the aftermath of that election, he thought the tone would be perfect. It struck the right tone with me as a viewer and patron, at least.

Fun story, I actually met one of you guys at the Shakespeare Theater on Friday night! Brian and I usually go when they have a Young Prose Night event - $22 tickets for the show that comes with free drinks afterwards? We're so in! Katherine was our bartender and she recognized me from Instagram! I was so floored! It's always so nice to meet people in general (especially in this city) but it's even better knowing we have something in common - great style and a love of theater! You guys should totally check out her Instagram and give her a follow! She's really nice!

Speaking of Instagram, if you guys follow me there, you may recognize this skirt from when I showed you guys my recent hauls from Uniqlo and Madewell. I managed to get this $98 skirt on sale for $69! It's still on sale now, though sizing is a bit limited. Still, if you like midi skirts, like me, this would make a great addition to your collection. At 5'3", I find buying midi skirts a bit tricky just because they tend to be longer and hit me at an awkward length, making me look shorter. I liked where this skirt hit me on my leg though and I think it looks rather flattering. The buttons are very on trend, and best of all: it has pockets!
