Gingham Style | Gingham Frills and Denim Skirt

Sometimes Madewell really understands me and my style. I think I turned into a heart-eye emoji when I saw this gorgeous gingham cami with the ruffled strapson the Madewell site. When it arrived, I was a bit dismayed to realize the straps are a bit too long and there's no way to adjust them. Just a note for people who are petite like me, beware non-adjustable straps! Still, I want to make this work so I will. It's not too noticeable and I still like the way I feel in it so I am dubbing this cami my new favorite for the summer!

As you can also see, I'm also taking a small step into the denim skirt trend. I have fully admitted before that I'm a late adopter, which, as a fashion blogger, means I'm not exactly always the trendiest. I used to wear denim skirts when I was a teenager and thinking about how I used to look during that time in the early to mid 2000s just made me cringe so hard. Luckily, the denim skirts of today are much chicer than the mini ones girls used to wear back then so I can jump on board. I'm also really into statement earrings (just like every other blogger - I know, I know. I'm basic. Sorry!) I found these gorgeous fan-tassel one on Etsy from a shop called Cotacoco. I thought they added a great pop of color to my neutral look.
