It's been a rainy few days here in DC but early last week it was a scorcher! I finally pulled out my high waisted shorts that are my summer classics and paired it with my scalloped cami. I'm always nervous I'll get cold when I walk in a very air-conditioned building so I always carry a cardigan with me. This Uniqlo cardigan has been perfect - it's linen blend so I don't overheat too badly in the sun (though humidity is an altogether different matter).

In other news, today is the day of my office move. I mentioned this in passing here on the blog but my workplace moved locations. It's been rather hectic at work as leadership decided to go from a closed office space to an open office concept in a completely different neighborhood. Some people at work have been grumbling a bit and while I understand why, I personally don't think it's a big deal. Most people at work (myself included) have a close-door office but with the open concept, no one (including our CEO) will have an office. It's a nice equalizer in some respects but my boss is a bit concerned about privacy and distractions. My boss is an attorney and Chief Counsel at the trade association I work at so she makes a lot of phone calls. She's been a bit worried about the noise-level in the new open space. I, on the other hand, am fine working anywhere. Plus, with my new telecommuting contract, I will be physically in the office less than I was before so I don't mind.
