Coffee Chat Vol. 17

ONE || Kate Spade's husband speaks out on his wife's death
I shared with you my thoughts on mental health recently on Wednesday's post because her death was so heartbreaking to me. I think Kate Spade is the designer that took a lot of women my age from adolescent to adulthood which is why her death hit so hard for a lot of us.

TWO || 16 of the most overlooked drugstore beauty brands
I'm a skincare fanatic but unfortunately, good skincare can cost a pretty penny. If I can find quality brands at drugstore prices, I'm sold! The first brand on the list sounds promising - organic beauty products? Count me in!

THREE || Firecracker Chicken Thighs recipe
I've been eating more lean meats like chicken and turkey so any new recipe that includes those two types of proteins is a godsend. This looks so delicious and not too difficult to make.

FOUR || Glossier is reformulating their products due to customer feedback
I love Glossier products and the brand itself is so progressive and excellent with their customer service. I've never tried their skin tint but the response from them to their customers who bought the skin tint before the formula change was on-point! All makeup companies should take note!

FIVE || Anne with an E season 2 trailer
I don't know about you but I really loved Anne with an E on Netflix! My mom and I used to read the books together when I was a kid so watching a gritty version of my childhood favorite was really fun. I'm so glad we're getting a season 2!

SIX || My Life as an Introverted Radio Host
As an introvert, I really loved this interview. I have what I like to call a "work personality" that's separate from my real personality. At work I'm assertive, talkative, and more open to talking with coworkers. To be honest, that stuff just drains me which is why all I want to do when I come home is do nothing and talk to no one. Still, this shows that both introverts and extroverts can be successful in any field!

SEVEN || Surviving Depression
Here's a great post on how to be a good friend to someone who is suffering from depression. As someone's also struggled with this and also tried to help friends who struggled with this, I can say first hand that the word 'difficult' doesn't even cover it at times. Still, you should never underestimate the power of showing up for your loved ones.
