January 2019 Bullet Journal Setup

What better way to start 2019 than with a bullet journal setup? I am so excited to diving into another year of bullet journaling and getting organized? I love January - it’s just the world’s way of giving you a fresh start. I’m kickstarting the new year with my January spreads!

Here we go!

cover page

January 2019 Bullet Journal Setup

As you can see from the picture above, I decided on a lightbulb theme for the month of January! I had a lot of fun doodling the cover page. It looks simple but I had to write the “January” part in pencil a few times to get it just right before I went over it in pen (even if I did spell it wrong).

calendar

I did something a bit different this month than I have done. Instead of drawing full boxes for each day of the month, I simply just drew in the angles where the boxes begin and end. I kept the same general setup of the monthly calendar page the same as I have in previous months, but something about drawing just the angles gives the whole look a more wiry feel!

Habit Tracker and Expense tracker

So… I actually decided to get rid of my Monthly Goals page this year (we’ll see how that goes) so the expense tracker got moved up a page! Actually this sort of paging makes a lot more sense to me - it’s good to keep all the trackers together!

Brain Dump

I added basically no decoration to my brain dump page but that’s because I like giving myself the maximum amount of space to write out my thoughts and ideas! I also tend to doodle and draw in my brain dump pages too so this spread won’t looks so blank for long.

weekly spread

Here’s a view of my very first weekly spread! I filled it in a little bit so you guys can get a sense of how I organize and plan things. I tried to create these spreads in the same vein as the cover page - the “wires” make up the days of the week!

Are you bullet journaling this year? What are some of your spread ideas?
