I’m finally back after a brief hiatus! If you follow me on Instagram, you may have seen my post on how I had a work conference last week and didn’t have time to keep up with my blog. We had about 5,200 attendees this year and due to the committee meetings I was scheduled to be at being held on Saturday and Sunday, it really cut into my photoshoot times. Frankly, during conference week, I really don’t have time to be doing any blog work in general. Even if I had shot the photos ahead of time (which I contemplated doing, but didn’t even have time for that because the weeks leading up to the conference were so busy as well), I would have had no time to write posts, promote them, engage with other bloggers, or even post them to Instagram! During the conference, I think I only had time to go on Instagram twice in the five days the conference went on for. I’m so daunted at being so behind but I’m really excited to jump back into blogging again!
This sweater is business in the front and a party in the back! We had a really nice, sunny day over the weekend and I took advantage with this open back sweater in this gorgeous blush color. I really love this sweater for those Winter to Spring transition days where it’s not quite warm enough to be considered a real Spring day but it’s not that cold anymore. I bought it from Madewell last year, I believe, but it’s still one of my favorite sweaters to reach for during transition weather and I’m sure you’ll be seeing it again in the Fall.

On the first sunny and warm day, I’m always inclined to pull out my white jeans! I wrote a post a few years back on what to look for when you’re in the market for a pair of white jeans and I’m somewhat okay with how that post has aged. While the jeans I’m wearing are from J.Crew (the same ones I bought three years ago), I do like that there are so many great options for white jeans out there now, especially from sustainable brands! If these ever wear out, I think I would replace them with this pair from Everlane or this pair from Baldwin.
