April 2019 Bullet Journal Setup
Warm weather is upon us and the cherry blossoms in DC are blooming! With this in mind, I decided to do a cherry blossom theme for my April bullet journal setup. I know, I know, this theme has been done to death, and most recently by AmandaRachLee, the queen of bullet journaling. I was inspired by her March theme but I like to think I put my own spin on her design and I’m pretty excited to show you guys how it turned out!

As I said, I took inspiration from the queen of bullet journals herself, Amanda Rach Lee (you should really check out her Youtube channel - so good!). She did a cherry blossom theme for March and I really loved it. Here in DC, April is when the Cherry Blossom Festival starts so I thought it’d be more appropriate for April than March for me.
For the calendar, I made individual boxes for each date. Someone once asked me for the grid spacing for this and I’m happy to share: each box is five dots by five dots. I drew cherry blossoms and small pink dots on the left hand corner of each box for the date. I wish I got a picture of this but after I snapped this particular photo, I decided to add pink drop shadows under all the boxes.
Habit Tracker and Expense Tracker
Nothing new about these spreads. I really have been loving individual habit trackers, even if they’re hard on my hands (the hand cramps I get after writing 1-31 on each tracker!). Last month, I didn’t write the dates, but then I started getting the dates confused so I decided not to do that this time around.

I did a brain dump page on theme. Last year, these pages weren’t decorated at all because I felt like decorations would take up precious space but I’ve been liking using these spreads to be creative. After all, that’s what a brain dump spread is for, right? I honestly haven’t had any issues with not having enough space to write so I don’t know what I was so afraid of.
I did two weekly spreads for you! One is my typical spread that’s vertical. I like this spread because it gives me a lot of space to write my tasks out. The second spread I did is a horizontal spread. I did this spread during conference week at work this past month and it was perfect! The second week of April is going to be rather busy so I thought this would be perfect for me to write out my most important tasks only to just get things done!
Do you bullet journal? What’s your theme for this month?
