My Local Library | Lemon Dress and Sézane Claude Bag

The Library of Congress is a beautiful structure here in DC. The architecture is dazzling both on the outside and the inside. I strolled in with my lemon dress I bought last summer to bring a little pep into this historical building.
The cool thing about the LOC is that you can get a library card here. No, really! I applied to get one and I should be receiving it soon. Can you imagine being able to say that you’re a card-carrying Library of Congress member?? The inner bookworm in me is squealing!

I bought this lemon dress from Anthropologie and it’s my go-to summer dress. The length of it seemed short on the model so instead of ordering the petite size, I ordered my size in regular, making the length perfect. However, it’s slightly more lower cut in the chest than I would prefer but I still love everything else about this dress. The sleeves are so darling with their elastic bottom and bows, the ruffles are so perfectly feminine, and the lemon print is so cute but not over-the-top. It’s a very grown-up lemon print, if that makes sense.
Sézane Claude Bag
I’ve had this bag for a few weeks now and I think I’m just falling more and more in love with it. It really is the perfect bag for so many occasions and this gorgeous chestnut color goes with everything in my closet! If you’re thinking of getting one yourself, I do recommend a good leather protector. They gave me a leather conditioner that helps but the leather is SUPER soft. So soft, in fact, that it gets easily scratched! There are already a couple of nicks on my bag, especially where the closing strap is. I was annoyed at first but the longer I have it and the more scratches it gets, I am starting to like that weathered look to it. That’s the nice thing about leather - it ages wonderfully.
