July 2019 Bullet Journal Setup
I had such a fun time doing my pineapple theme for last month’s bullet journal that I decided on another fruit theme for July - watermelons! The best thing about watermelons is that they’re actually really easy to draw and the colors are very summery and pretty! I had so much fun creating this month’s spreads and I hope you guys have fun reading or recreating them too!

For my cover page, I watercolor painted these watermelons. I put the colors down first and once they dried, I used my Sakura Pigma Micron fineliners to draw around the colors. I kind of liked how imperfect they turned out - with colors either sticking in or out of the fineliner borders. There’s a bit of a graphic/cartoony quality to it that I really enjoyed!
I did a simple calendar with a graphic of two watermelons on the bottom. I also put down a quote at the bottom right where I had some space - “You’re one in a melon!” (I always love a good pun). This page is pretty self-explanatory but this is one of the pages that takes the longest to create just because I have to get all the spacing right.

Habit Tracker and Expense Tracker
As with last month, I decided to forego individual trackers to combined habit trackers. Even though it takes very little time to create, I actually get confused when I fill it out because I’m not used to filling in my habits together like this. I think next month, I may go back to individual trackers. Even though it takes forever to draw, at least I’m more motivated to keep up with them.
As for the expense trackers, this is a tried-and true tracker that I’m good about filling out. I tried different methods but this one works the best for me.
For the first week of July, I did a graphic-looking spread and decorated with watermelon accent colors and watermelon washi tape! I really love incorporating washi tape like this! I have ended up becoming a bit of a washi tape hoarder and now I’m trying to use them all up!
