All You Need is Love | Denim Skirt and Wrap Bodysuit

I love Union Market and specifically, this wall of graffitti’d hearts. It reminds me of the Beatles song, “All You Need is Love,” which is quite fitting since they’ve had an exhibit of Yoko Ono’s art there. We had a warm weekend I took a walk out for all Union Market has to offer. This place is seriously one of the best places to hang out and grab a bite to eat in the city.

I’m kind of sad that I didn’t get more wears out of my denim skirt this summer so I took advantage of the warm weather and took it out for another spin. For a purchase I made on a whim, it’s certainly grown on me. I was so resistant to the denim skirt trend because it reminded me of those awful mini denim skirts girls wore when I was in high school. I like the modern take on the trend, and the fact that it’s longer and actually covers my butt. The distressing is something I’ve grown to quite like on the one I’m wearing here and I also love a light denim wash in the summer and warmer months. I’m not sure how tights would look with this skirt but I’m willing to try it out this winter with maybe a pair of booties.

I don’t think I thought about how often I would wear this bodysuit when I first bought it but it’s really held up! For a cheap Forever 21 purchase, it’s certainly withstood a lot over the last two years. I reach for it so often, mostly because it just goes with everything and despite the long sleeves, I can wear it for any season (seriously, air-conditioned to oblivion buildings are what long-sleeve tees were made for). The wrap is very flattering and it can be dressed up and down. A lot of times, I like to wear it with high-waisted jeans for a casual look. I thought it made a great pairing with my denim skirt for an early fall walk.
