Think Pink | Lace Skirt and Rose Bodysuit

Everyone seems to be getting ready for fall but it's still quite hot where I am. I realized I never really wrote any posts this summer about dressing for work and I thought this would be a good time to talk about it with this outfit. Depending on how casual our office is you can keep the sandals or trade them in for a pair of nude closed-toe pumps and maybe wear a blazer or cardigan over it. I've work this outfit with nude heels and a cardigan to the office (mostly to combat the cold air-conditioning) and it was a hit.

A work staple for me is a pencil skirt and in the summer I like to play with textures a bit. I purchased this lace skirt last spring and it was probably the best decision I've made. I usually like to wear it with a collared shirt or even a loose tee on casual Fridays. It also looks great with a belt over it, or just plain. The midi length makes the skirt perfectly adaptable for both work and happy hour with friends. I think everyone should have a lace skirt in their closet. Personally, I love pencil and structured skirts with a bit of stretch - especially at the waist.

I bought this bodysuit from Forever 21 about two years ago. I loved it so much that I actually bought two, one in this mauve-rose-pink color and one in black and they've been well-loved both summers I've had it. I have a short neck so I tend to stay away from turtlenecks but I like that this is more of a mock neck than a full-on turtleneck. Because it's a bodysuit, it stays tucked into anything I wear and the simple design makes it super versatile, whether I'm wearing a skirt, like I am here, shorts, or (my favorite) high waisted pants, these suits will stay put and make you look fabulous!
