We’re having a weird spring season here in DC. One day it’ll be super warm and sunny, and the next day, I’ll need to take a parka to work! Sometimes, it’ll be super cold in the morning (like 35 degrees Fahrenheit), and then it’ll be 75 degrees in the afternoon. How do you dress for that? Luckily, light sweaters and midi skirts are all over my closet so I was covered!
This skirt is seriously one of my absolute favorites. It’s from Sézane and they call it the Dino skirt, which is where I got the name of this post today. I always love Sézane pieces and this one is no exception. The color is gorgeous, the length is perfect and the pleats are so flattering! The material is so silky smooth, though it’s made of 100% polyester. The great thing about Sézane is that they are really committed to sustainable and ethical manufacturing processes. They are all about creating pieces that are of excellent quality and built to last. I have several pieces from Sézane and I can attest to the quality of their pieces including this one. The skirt is so silky smooth and soft. I actually got this a while back (before my shopping ban) from a Poshmark seller who noted subtle oil stains on the skirt. I took it to the dry cleaners when I got it and they managed to get it out. Sustainability at its finest: Getting a piece from a sustainable brand, secondhand!

I haven’t worn my Converse Chucks in a while and as I was moving my winter clothes away to make room for my Spring and Summer clothes, I remembered why I didn’t toss these out (yet). I was never really a sneaker head or anything like that but I do have a few that I really like, my Chucks being one of them. I also love my Adidas Stan Smiths and my Sperry slip ons. I wasn’t sure how these Converses would look with such a delicate skirt but as soon as I put them together, I really loved the combination of elegant and sporty. I really want to get more wears out of these this summer and I’m really excited at the possibilities! Converses are classics for a reason and even though they’re not as trendy anymore, I still love the look of them!
