PRODUCT FAVORITES
I switched facewashes this month and tried out the Biossance Squalane + Amino Acid Gentle Cleanser. Y’all. This cleanser is my new HG! It’s gentle but my skin feels so hydrated and clean after I use it! I did hear in some reviews of this that it’s a bit too gentle for some and won’t get all your makeup off at the end of the day. I’m a fan of the double cleansing method every time I wash my face (oil cleanser first, then foaming cleanser second) so I personally haven’t run into that issue. I will definitely repurchase this once I’m out.
On the topic of beauty products, I had a moment of panic when I found my very first gray hair. I know it’s all in my head but I could have also sworn I could feel wrinkles developing on my forehead as well. I promptly bought myself some Vital Proteins Beauty Collagen powder and I gotta say, I love it! I really do see a change in my skin and hair and I’m planning on doing a review of this soon (so stay tuned).
Since redecorating my den office, I’m decided my work space needed a revamp as well. I have been exclusively using laptops (both my personal Macbook Pro and my work HP laptop) but I’ve been wanting a bigger monitor for ages. I decided to bite the bullet and I got myself a Samsung curved monitor! If you follow me on Insta, you may have seen in my stories how I set that up. Seriously, it’s a game-changer! I think the only qualm I’ve had about it is that the color match isn’t quite exact when I hook it up to my Macbook, but no issues on my work computer. I don’t mind it, though. It’s a very nitpicky detail that doesn’t bother me all that much. I love the curve of it, the sleek design, and just having a lot more eye real estate when I work at my desk now!
ENTERTAINMENT FAVORITES
I had COVID this month so while on bedrest I ended up watching a ton of movies. I think my favorite was Encanto on Disney Plus! My husband and I watched it together and it was so cute and lovely! I’ve even added a few of the soundtrack songs on my workout playlist (Pressure is a great song to run to!)
We also watched Turning Red. I was not ready for how real that would get! Obviously, I’m not Chinese-Canadian, nor do I turn into a red panda, but the relationship between Mei and her mom was so spot on with me and mine when I was younger! I loved it!
LIFE UPDATES
I mentioned this before but I got COVID, unfortunately. I detailed my experiences in this post but all things considered, it wasn’t the worst for me which was incredibly lucky.
I also got extremely good news as well. I haven’t shared this with too many people but I applied to a post-graduate program (not going to explain further just yet - that post will be coming!) and I got in! I had to take exams for it so it and I had anxiety that no one would let me into their school but I’m starting to get acceptance letters and even some scholarships!

Ugh, another one I didn’t get around to. I was quarantined for two weeks and even afterward, I just didn’t have the energy to do much. There’s always May!
FINALIZE WEDDING RECEPTION PLANS
My husband and I are planning a wedding “do-over” as we had a mini-ceremony during the pandemic. We have a big party planned and while it’s been stressful, we’re in the homestretch now and we’re even looking forward to it!

I did one better and made myself an iced latte! Yum!
