Brian and I went to see Hamlet at the Shakespeare Theater last Friday and this is the outfit I wore. I had to make sure my outfit could take me from office to date night so I pulled out these two pieces. I love this wrap skirt - it's perfect for work but the slit is also great for happy hour and a theater date night!
I've seen quite a few versions of Hamlet throughout the years but the recent version at DC's Shakespeare Theater was amazing! I never really thought of Hamlet as a funny play, but they had a lot of humorous moments. It took me back to high school when I was studying the play, my English Lit teacher said he didn't like the idea the Shakespeare would throw us all a bone and insert comedic relief. Instead, he liked to think that Shakespeare was trying to convey that even during the most difficult times in life, sometimes people can laugh at something.

If you're ever in DC and in a play-watching mood, I highly recommend you check out the Shakespeare Theater. I've honestly never disliked a play I've seen there.
