My workplace had a Casino Night holiday party last weekend which was a fun time! I dusted off my favorite Little Black Dress for the occasion and I was ready to hit the slots! Well, not really - our company hired a company to bring a couple of casino game stations and dealers for each station and it all up at a hotel in town. There was a craps table, a poker station, roulette, and blackjack! I'm not much of a gambler myself and I didn't really know how to play any of the games except roulette (no one ever taught me poker or blackjack - embarrassing, I know!) I brought Brian as my date and he explained all of the games to me so I didn't look too much like a fish out of water. We also had a great time hanging out with my coworkers! I work in politics and advocacy so our work dress code is more on the conservative side so it was fun seeing everyone dressed to party!

The last time I had this dress on the blog it was for NY Fashion Week. I had bought this dress specifically to wear to the fashion show I was invited to but I've since worn it for a special date night with Brian and a night to see a play. I love it so much - it's hugs my curves in a way that's flattering, it's black so I can wear it anywhere, and it's sexy! Get you a dress that makes you feel as good as this dress does for me!

Quick note though - I took off my tights and coat and stood in -2 degrees weather for these photos. I'm surprised I look as nonchalant in these because internally, I was freezing and my body was aching from the cold! The things I will do for a blog post...Maybe I'm crazy!

This is such a beautiful dress and I love your hair, it looks so cute!
ReplyDeleteYou look great! I would never have guessed how cold it was :)

ReplyDeleteSuch a classy dress! It looks amazing on you. Perfect for a night out or even a special day in the office. Love it!
ReplyDeleteLove the patterns on the dress. Really cute on you!
ReplyDeleteLove your braided hair! :) Also, so impressed you could go bare legs and arms in htat cold temperature just for photos. I used to try take winter blog photos with and without my coat and even then it was too much for me, and that's just a Brisbane winter, haha! I have so much respect for anyone doing it in the actual cold!

Hope that the first week of 2018 went well for you and that this week is off to a good start too!
