I've really been gravitating back to neutral colors and outfits lately. While I loved having my long phase where I wore all of the brightest colors under the sun (see the early days of my blog), I'm definitely embracing a more muted color palette for my wardrobe. Perhaps it's because it's so cold out lately and I'm too lazy to be too creative with my looks and neutral colors are just easier to pair together... I'm not sure, but I've been pinning a lot more neutral outfits on Pinterest lately (this is also a shameless plug to go follow me on Pinterest if you don't already :P )
On an unrelated note, I hope you guys are enjoying your day off in honor of Martin Luther King. I've been reading a lot of quotes from MLK lately. I think it's partly due to the political climate of our country which I won't get too deeply into. I will say, however, that I hope everyone takes today to think about the contributions of people of color to our country and remember what makes the USA so great.

Recently I've been going for a lot of basics and neutrals too! These pieces are timeless and will always look great. I love styling stripes with a beige coat :)
ReplyDeleteOn days like MLK day it's indeed important to reflect on how some people have influenced history - and continue to do so, for the better!

You wear neutrals so well! :) I find I wear a lot more neutrals in cooler weather, it makes layering easier! but of course I usually have to add some colour in there somewhere, often with a brightly coloured bag, haha!
ReplyDeleteHope that you are having a nice start to your week :) Had my first day back at work after extended leave today so not the best day for me haha.
