Happy New Years everyone! I can't believe we made it all the way here! I feel like it ons only yesterday we were celebrating the start of 2017 too! As I stated in my previous post, I traveled to California after Christmas to spend some time with Brian's family. I checked the weather in DC and it was in the 30s (Fahrenheit) while NorCal was in the 60s and even 70s so I was not in a hurry to fly back. I'm home now but boy do I miss that weather.

For New Years, I am all about fun dresses because any excuse to dress up is a good one, amirite? I got this dress from ASOS and it's currently on sale! I love the mesh, the star pattern (which I think is going to be big this year) and the different textures. If you look closely some of the stars on my dress are embroidered and some are velvet. I adore the media mixing! This dress is definitely a bit more cleavage than I tend to show (and Brian's eyes were bulging a bit when he saw me) but I do think this is a great dress for parties and fun events (like NYE of course).

Oh that is such a beautiful dress! I love the star pritn and I agree with you, I'm happy to see the star trend continue as I love the print, always seems much more special than stripes or polka dots! :) Could see a knit or a tee over this dress to wear it more like a skirt too and make it suitable outside of new years, but it is the perfect party dress as-is!
